Winter’s Heel

Winter's Heel

Promise wrought by God most tender, pierced by roman steel.
His Blood the earth did water, wounds of love, we’re healed.
Cold and death, see fleeing, icy breath, some warmth did steal,
Days of spring are calling, closing in at winter’s heel.
~ D.F.

*************
“But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs, but one soldier thrust his lance into his side, and immediately blood and water flowed out.”
~ John 19:33-34

    • Many thanks, Meg, glad you like it. Initially I did have some reservations since nature had a smaller presence than in my other shots but in the end, it appeared enough to accent the steel. 🙂
