Streams of air uplifting, all cares, they drown at sea,
Faith and mercy bearing, by grace, I’m christened, free.
Home and glory crowning, You who had longed for me,
The Sun, its fire raging, consume my love for thee!
“Now I am coming to You.”
~ John 17:13
Darkness gently drawing, pelting of the rain,
Soft the forest music, call to a higher plane.
Sleep, then deeply dreaming, calm to soothe the pain,
Air, its fragrance seeping; Love, its sweet refrain.
The cycle now completing, young blends into old,
Passion gently ebbing, night draws in the cold.
Mortal thoughts releasing, time eroding hold,
Earth, sweet home returning, as sheep retire to fold.
Borne on mighty wings, the lure of distant shores,
Vast the oceans passing, the wind by feathers bore.
Freedom deeply breathing, its song, a rally call,
The promise, new beginnings, fulfilment of His Law.
“I bore you up on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.”
~ Exodus 19:4
Quiet, burning, mysterious light,
Eerie glow, yet comforting sight.
Hearts a kindled, fears, respite,
Rising flames, dark mortal night.
“Were not our hearts burning within us…”
~ Luke 24:32
Dreams of youth, now laid to rest,
Lustre, promises, they fail at test.
Time, relentless, no bars, arrest,
Yet failing light, anointed, blessed.
A surge of mighty wind, revive this tired flesh,
Parched from desert travels, forty days of test.
Heat and thirst conspiring, broken, sorely pressed,
Infuse a brand new spirit, by grace, restore our zest!
