Jacob’s Ladder

Jacob's Ladder

O lead me on to heaven, sweet celestial stairs,
Steps both broad and firm, my weary gait to bear.
His voice so gently coaxing, my load, the angels share,
Now stars within my reaching, beyond the hurt and care.
~ D.F.

“A stairway rested on the ground, with its top reaching to the heavens; and God’s angels were going up and down on it.”
~ Genesis 28:12

  1. Thank you for liking “Midsummer.” Great post! 🙂 I enjoyed reading your beautiful poem and looking at your intriguing photo. I like how you were able to capture the hope that Jacob received from God during and after the dream of the ladder.
