How appropriate the sunflower is and how beautiful. There is a Victorian stained glass window in a school near me with sunflowers depicted as a symbol of turning your face to God. It is so exquisite and sunflowers have a strange effect on me. You may have read my post about Taize where it seemed to me the spirit moved among a field of sunflowers. Wonderful experience.
