Why stand awed by the stars of the night,
Light from ancient bodies now demised?
Ponder instead about
that child on your lap,
Nesting warmly against your neck.
For even as he quietly slumbers,
This star is alive!
He rises with every passing hour.
“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”
~ Luke 2:52
Entering the Promised Land:
Years wandering, atoning.
A generation had seen its passing.
Dry eyes strain and old legs stumble.
Has the LORD set aside his loathing?
Beyond this mountain now,
His promise at last, sends greeting.
Do not afraid.
Set aside what age, knowledge and experience have long conspired to fill your mind and in so doing, killed off your childlike wonderment.
Where once you expect to see just another flower,
A delightful bouquet yet grows before you,
to refresh your spirit and heal your senses.
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth.”
~ Revelations 21:1
A bouquet of different flowers growing from the same plant.
Just as young flowers open themselves to the warm sunlight, so the promise of fruitfulness is granted to those who greet each day with thankful hearts and willing hands.
Count your gardens by the flowers，
Never by leaves that fall.
Count your days by golden hours,
Don’t remember the clouds at all.
Count your nights by stars, not shadows.
Count your life with smiles, not tears.
And with joy on every birthday,
Count your age by friends, not years.

“A judicious silence is always better than truth spoken without charity.”
~ St Frances de Sales
“My soul can find no staircase to heaven unless it be through Earth’s loveliness.”
By dissecting her petals, no one ever gathered in the beauty of the Rose.
It is the heart of the flower that holds its petals together.
I reckon this is Nature’s floral version of Julia Roberts from the hit movie Pretty Woman.
Pretty with simple lines, unassuming but engaging and yes, even the same colour as the pink top worn by her in the movie poster!
