Grant me LORD, serenity, find,
The cool and calm, both heart and mind.
Let every thought, no worries bind,
And the spoken word, a blessing, kind.
The lightness of His touch, the healing by His hand,
The wounded takes to wing, as warmth revives the land.
Soaring, oh so free, my fainting senses mend,
Then one at peace with Him.
And all that love demands.
Hold unto His Words, let them take you on a ride,
Beyond the highest mountains, where angels and saints abide.
There shall Peace be sown from the stores of His own light,
Downward through to earth, as the dew drops take to flight.
O flee this home of iniquity, that City of Light to find,
Where Hope, a blazing hearth, Faith, its roads are lined.
There the godly shall gather, none wounded left behind,
And its Rule shall be of Charity, and Peace to all mankind.
His laughter brings the sunshine, air around Him brisk,
Threading ever lightly, the scent of fresh earth kiss.
Flowers humbly bowing, see the Holy in their midst,
Nature, His praises singing, behold, the Prince of Peace.
“Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice”
~ Psalm 96:11
Darkness gently drawing, pelting of the rain,
Soft the forest music, call to a higher plane.
Sleep, then deeply dreaming, calm to soothe the pain,
Air, its fragrance seeping; Love, its sweet refrain.
White the embers, glowing bright,
Dark of sin, consumed this night.
Life’s misgivings, now set aright,
Peace renewing, most sacred rite.
