A tiny orb of light, in darkness, softly glows,
Faith and courage nursing, as wild, the cold wind blows.
Fire, breathing, burning, with strength from weakness flow,
Sure, the footsteps gather, His trail across the snow.
Insisting not on standing still,
But drawn in by His breath,
The bamboo sways ever humbly,
And discovers its character and strength.
“For in Him, we live, and move, and have our being …”
~ Acts 17:28
Nothing is so strong as gentleness.
Nothing is so gentle as real strength.
~ St. Francis de Sales
“God tests us beyond our expectation but never beyond our strength.”
This is because He is more attuned to our talent, endurance and potential than we even dare to believe of ourselves.
