Lord, hide me in your shadow, in safety, shelter me,
Storm and trial besieging, yet none should bother me.
Your crook and staff assuring, before them, worries flee,
Then lay me down to pasture, at last, I’m home and free.

“Shelter me, O God; Hide me in the shadow of your wings. You alone are my hope. When my foes surround me, set me high above their reach. Hear me when I call your name.” When I read your poem it brought this hymn to mind Shelter Me, O God by Bob Hurd. The words are from Psalms 16 & 61 and Luke 13:34. Beautiful!

You should hear it sung. It is very beautiful and uplifting and it seemed to go with the thoughts in your poem. God bless you too.
